what do you guys think an 81 1/4ton 4x4 worth? no big patches of rust, but the box seam is starting to go......drag link is shot.....motor makes a bit of noise and is kinda smokey? just a basic truck?

If you're selling... Hmmmm I'd say about $50. And I'll pick it up this weekend.

If you're buying... I'd say around $500 (assuming that there aren't more problems than what you've listed). Check the floor boards for rust, and the frame right behind the cab (especially on the gas tank side).

Since it's not "driveable" (as the draglink is toast) you should bargain harder. Any truck that isn't "driveable" isn't worth that much. So if you're selling.... Fix it first if you want to get your money out of it.

Whatever. Toyota pick-ups are "whatever-ton". You load them until you crack the leafs. Who actually measures?!

I've had at least a metric ton (>20 x 50 kg sacs of bentonite) in the back of my old 95 tacoma. It hauled it, but, well the leafs weren't that happy about it.
