Yeah I know this is as far away from off-roading or on-roading can get, but i think i might need a Hang Glider it looks like a great way to kill an afternoon! then land in the yard. anyone know a decent dealer?

Nope! i've never done it before, but i've got a nice gentle area to test in- i watch a couple of peeps that do it right off the hill in front of my house and it's AMAZING!!! i can never catch up with them to get any info though. But the wind currents off the Red Deer river in back of my house make for good gliding! Ballons seem to like cruising the Valley too! I'm not sure where to look for a Kite though.

the hang gliding clup in cochrane is the Muler Hang gliding center, hang a right before you drop down the hill into town, they offer lessons on how to do it. they also rent and sell hanggliders, as well as parasails. another place to learn is the university of calgary outdoor program center, they offer instruction as well for about 100 if i remember correctly. be warned, the sport is verry addicting... and the gliders are pricey to buy... (about 3000+)

hope that helps
