Hi all,

This is your invitation to join fellow off road enthusiasts
in Maclean Creek on Saturday June 15th. We will be having a bbq, refreshments and a night time wheelin run will be unofficially conducted. Oh yeah, we will also be doing some work projects to maintain the environmental concerns we all have as back country enthusiasts.

It all gets underway at 10:00 a.m. in the parking lot of the Maclean General Store.

Elbow Valley Campground has offerred us camping in the immediate Maclean Creek area for a substantial discount of only $10 per night (tent/trailer/motorhome). This is available to AURS members on Friday and Saturday night. You just need to show up and let the campground know you are with AURS.

The best thing about this gathering besides helping make sure our areas remain open is meeting the folks whom visit the websites. Who is Redneck? 4004ever? Stinky beast? Wolf359? White Knight? Deejay? Woolf? Rigger? Little red TJ? Bigfoot? CDI guy? Hellraiser?Bottomdwellar? HomieG? Missfit? Wailinbruce? Mudder? etc....The day is fun too! The bbq is excellent and the cold frosties are just plain goodness. The wheelin is great at night and the next day promises to be another fantastic wheelin adventure.

We also WANT to see those Bike and Quad guys out there as well, since we ALL share the trails. Media will be out to promote the positive aspects of the efforts of AURS. Please say hello to me out there and lets make this "cleanup" a winner.

For more info visit call 233-AURS(2877)And please help bump this post to the top(ttt) to keep it fresh.

Thank you everyone for your support. Tom

And don't forget the raffle prizes!!

As soon as you show up and register you will receive 1 free raffle ticket for numerous draws!

I will also be selling extra raffle tickets for $1 each.

As well we will be holding a 50/50 draw.

If you are not a 2002 AURS member I will have membership's available for $20 and $5 for any extra decals, including "NEW" smaller quad and bike size decals.

We will also have past cleanup day T-shirts for $5 each.

Hope to c-ya all there!! It will be a blast

Don't forget to bring sunscreen and a raincoat. We will go rain or shine....

I look forward to meeting all of you!

Christine

I may be interested in coming up for the clean up but it has been a long time since I've been to Mclean and I was wondering what the trails are like as my FJ-40 is broken and the 4runner is stock.

I just got back from McLean this morning at 6:30am (night run gone bad) and my god is it wet! It rained the whole time we were there. There were 3ft wide "creeks" running down the sides of the Mclean Creek trail. There is a ton of water in EVERY hole! It will be super easy to clean up garbage....just wait down stream and grab it as it floats by!

Well I plan to be there for the clean up. Only one problem, I still have a few bug's to work out on the truck(front drive shaft, locker is buggered and a few more little thing's) so I don't know if i'll be able to wheel, or use the truck to transport thing's. I will be able to drive myself out there a long with all my gear but I think that the truck will have to stay in the camping stall. So is there any chance of catching a ride with someone to the work sites, and back to camp?
Also does anyone have a list of what we need to bring, shovel, pick, chain saw ......

That's some sweet ass fire power. But what ever you do DON"T let Scotty drive I wouldn't even trust myself with those D6 Cat's. As much as I would love to drive one, I think i'd have to much fun.
