I got a hold of a holley 4 bbl intake manifold for my 400 (2bbl stock) and was wondering about what carb might work the best for the best price.
I heard about a 600 or 650 would do nicely.
No the $400 brand new carb is not an option.
What about adapter plates?

But for best offroad capabilities, pick up a q-jet, a rebuilt one shouldnt cost too much I figure. When you do the work to mount it backwards, you will be scared at the hills you will have to try to get it to stumble on you.

Just swapped in a 460 in the 79 Bronc and just bought the new Holly Truck Avenger. As soon as its ready Ill let you guys know how it does.
