I got some weird problems with my brakes. Heres the story, I had to pump twice to get brakes. I bled and bled it but no change, I replaced the master cylinder they got better but still needed a pump. I tried beeding the system again and now I have no brakes at all. I can pump and pump but no pressure builds up. The book said replace check valve but doesnt tell you how, the only valve it talks about is the load sensing valve and says see your dealer. ( cant afford that ). somebody please help me out.

Thanks
MM

Check your slave cylinder. If it is leaking is may be loosing pressure there. Just a thought

Mike,

You've likely already done this but... try adjusting your rear shoes to be closer to the drum (little sprocket behind the tab in the backing plate). I know when mine aren't tight they really suck.

And to adjust your load-sensing proportionaing valve (dohickey just over the rear axle on the passenger side frame rail), just unhook it from the axle, bend it (the bar from the valve to the axle, bend it so that it is in the "up" position on the valve) so that it thinks you have lots of weight, and reattach it. This way the valve is always open. You go through shoes more often, but stop better.
