I know you guys can appreciate this kind of fun! Many of the rivers down here are perfect for driving huge 4x4s down. We get together at least 3 or 4 times a year to have fun. This time we made it a Poker Run. We drove about 10 miles down the river and back. We had tons of fun getting stuck and getting unstuck. Most of the time the river is easy to drive on and maybe 4ft deep (football field wide though) but you have to watch out for the sand flowing out from under your tires. If you stop in the water for long you will be stuck. Heres an example of my buddies truck with 48"s and rockwells. He just backed up to pull out the other guy and started sinking. Over 10 trucks had just drove through there without spinning a tire. Then the river changed its mind I guess? We got several straps together to get me close enough to get out this truck and then the two of us got 4 other 44" tired trucks out. CLICK TO SEE RIVER RUN PICS

72zebra,

With all the US army up here for the G8 you shoulda tried to get posted here for the long weekend coming up.

or

20 hours and ____ (insert number) road pops and you're here. You're getting closer after the last move....

We can't compete with rivers like that, but there's lots of mud to play in.

The river is CFL wide. We dont get any hassle for running the river. It was closed for years but recently opened back up to 4x4 use. (a large company bought the rights to a lot of the river bottom to use the sand for cement mix. they figured if the bulldozers can dig in it so could we, but of course it was wrong for us to do it but now that its "Business" its ok) Plus not much lives in the river. It has a high salt content in it and the area fish dont like it.
I would love to come up there and I will, but it will be atleast 6yrs probably. I retire in 6yrs (38yrs old!) and I will have the money to do it!! I will start saving my pennies now!!
