I'm just curious, if anyone is running longfields <or the such> and how big their truck is.........basically, at what point would it be a good idea to upgrade the bir's?

Well just about everyone that I used to wheel with in Cali is running Longfields. Most of them are only running 35's.

Of course most of them are 109:1 or 223:1 gear ratio and the only wheeling they do is rockcrawling..

I think this winter I will send my FJ80 bifs down to Bobby to get done, as well as pick up some chromoloy axleshafts, but thats just me...

If they are really needed for wheeling here, it's tough to say. Depends how hardcore you go, and how reliable you want to make your rig....

Yeah, it depends on a lot of things.
Power, gearing, weight, lockers.
Running 35's is pretty reliable.
