anyone ever put a 100amp *gm* alternator(sp) on their toy pickup with the stock 22r or 22re engine??? seem to remember a website with the wiring info etc., but, can't find it now. any wiring guru's??? [list]

I'm running a Mean-Green High Ouput Alternator on my Toy..

Direct bolt on, and I want to say it was like 100-130amp or something.. (Don't remember exactly but could find out).

use google to search "gm alternator swap" I think the 2nd article that comes up on the results is a gm swap into a yota.

I am also very interested in doing this swap . There was a guy on this board awhile back (Ryan ??????) who made these brackets, It re-locates the alternator to the top of the engine where it should be. Hopefully someone on here knows who it was that made this bracket, so we can contact him .

for my swap i just used the bottom stock toy mount bolted it to the oposite side of the block to put the alt up high and easy to get at. then i just grabed some stock chevy brackets for the top of the alt and bent and grinding a little and hooked it up. easy, and the wiring easy to do just attatch the main hot (big wire to your battery) and i just attatched one of the little wires from the clip to the main wire as soon as i started up the engine rev it alittle bit and the alt would kick in.
