Right now im lookin for a 2 door xj like 87-00 and then I want to make it topless, will it work or am I dreamin?

how are you going to keep the integrity of the design? thats a unibody design so just wondering how youre gonna keep it from falling apart? I think topless cherokees are cool, never seen a little one chopped before. we chopped ours, would probably twist it self to pieces without the cage to give it strength, even with the full frame it flexes the body out a fair bit. Is or was yours a unibody? Plus yours looks awsome by the way, but when I do one I want to chop it like a bronco or blazer, And what if I run a full cage or do you figure I'll have to put it on a frame and if so what kind of frame?

Hey now... no fair.. you stole my idea .. i dont know if it would have worked for me tho . I have a 4 door, I thought I could build a roll bar off the uni-body and connect to one inside for added support. But I think its a lot of work. Good luck to ya. Let me know if you really do it. ok I found the jeep, 99 2 door xj for cheap and its a 5 gear, its yellow, must be a after market paint job but who knows, so now I got the xj now today to order the 6" lift and 33" claws or boggers cant decide, the jeep is going to my buds house tomorrow and the cuttin will begin, God I hope this works, Its alot of money for nothin if it dont.

the 33 claws are SMALL they are more like 32's go for the 35's, and dont forget to add the full cage so you dont loose any strength from the unibody.... otherwise...... pretzle

definately nuts..........little cheif is a full size cherokee if I'm not mistaken, completely different than the xj your lookin' at........DEFINATLY going to have to look into roll cage and sub-framing......fo' sure gonna be ALLOT of work.....
