This is the deal, 93 318 magnum from a Dakota 2wd, does this engine have the same bellhousing pattern as a 318 from a full size truck, if so will a 727 trans. bolt right up to it. I need 100% confirmation. I was told by a transmission shop that the Dakota had a different bellhousing. I'm thinking of doing an engine swap into the scout. EFI baby!

Not too up on new stuff, but I think the transmissions
are different. What motor do you have? I had a Scout
with a 345-- swapped in a Int 392- perfect fit/awesome
