Okay , If this ever happed here. What would you guys think would be a fair entry fee. Keep in mind if you're a cheap ass and don't want to pay anything , you won't win anything. This fee would be on top of a camping fee. These fee's would be paying for insurance ,land rental ,the use of equipment to set a course up etc... Thanks Clay

We have no clue what your break even cost would be. Why don't you give us a ball park figure of what you would need to make it happen? ie- how many entries needed at how much to cover cost plus winnings. Winnings should not be on the skimpy side. I am sure this would attract some sponsors. Great idea.

Well .I'm not sure what the end cost would be . I just wanted to know what would not scare people away . Just as a ball park figure. Once I have that, we can figure how many trucks would be feesable, what sponsers would be needed etc.. I need somewhere to start . An associate is looking into insurance costs for the event, so I'll have that soon. I was thinkin around the 40 -50 mark. 100 would be fantastic but might be a bit much. It would be nice to involve a street and trail class , modified and super modified. Nothing in stone. We'll get into that later.right now all I want to know is what would you pay?

I think around a 100$ sounds fine for competitors, but could you also have a 5$ a head price for spectators? I would like to watch this if it is open for spectators, and if there is a street class I would try and enter. One other question is how would the contestants be chosen(vote, or just pay the fee and your in?) I would like to see this happen so if you need any help I will do what I can.

Okay .Picking the trucks .Thats another issue. But The viewers would be more than welcome .And the five bucks would help. Good idea. Thanks for the offer of help .I will probably be hitting you up on that. Keep the ideas rollin in here . The more the better. I know we all want an event like this. Here's the chance.

There is no entrance fee to the Four Wheeler in USA. You just have to get your ass down there if you get picked. Out of 72 semi finalists , 10 trucks are picked. Promotes their rag. Prizes are not too impressive either. It's more of an "I did it thing"

$100 bucks sounds pretty fair to me!! Any ideas on where (land) you could do this? Is it costly to rent somewhere like that? Is an awsome idea, my bet is you have to beat people away who want to enter, I am sure there would be a huge interest in this!!

Have the land .Yes racing is allowed. No neighbors to complain. I've got to get some basics down before I get side tracked though. I was thinkin every couple of days I'll through out issues and you guys give me feed back. Hows that sound. There would be camping facilities as well for spectators. that would help pay for some of the costs .I'd like most of the entrance fee's to go towards the winnings.

I dunno 100 bucks sounds high to me. 40 bucks sounds better. If you have a purpose built vehicle and are sonsored then 100 bucks might seem ok but high for the average joe that wants to try out his wheeler. I have been told I should try some of the tuff truck comps but if I knew it was a 100 dollar entry fee I would walk the other way. 40 bucks I might enter. Just me 2cents

Just let me know I might be able to get some equiptment for free =) and I might also be able to get a couple of military rigs out to show off as well. Also if we do this we have to try and invite AL from Canadian4x4 I know he would be all over this. I would play too =) just not a rock crawler with the long wheelbase though... =)

I say a hundy is a little low ...you want a serious comptition and atrract some serious Iron to an event like this the entry fee I say should be at least double that ....
Lets face it ...yer only gonna have ten or fifteen trucks that are serious and make this a viable compition over say two days of events .... lets face it If Twister is organizing it ...its gonna be more than just going around in circles over some whopty dos ...I'm thinking a rock garden, Frame twister, .... essiencially based on the Four Wheeler Rags comp ...only with some better ...more realistic events... not a 0-60-0 event
to have a santioned event you must get Event insurance ...Cheapest I seen is about 1400 bux per event ...so out of 10 trucks at 200 each ...that leaves 600 bones prize money ....Not worth it
Just some things to consider
I dont know Clayton very well ...but i do think I know him a little ..... He aint into doin the Saddle dome bullshit when he comes up with an idea like this
ya wanna pay 40 bux to test yer truck ...go to the street warriors

another idea for helping out with the cost of this event would be food conccession stands.possible have people film and then put together a tape for promo sales.if you need some prices for food items let me know.

I'd enter for a $100 to $150 but you would have to consider those with families and figure out a family rate for weekend camping. Or a combined family/competitor camping/entry rate.

I think the prices sound fine. $100 - $150 / Truck and at least $10 for spectators. And I would be more than willing to give you a hand twister. Let me know what you need done.
