You’ve seen our LOGO …we want to see yours!

We’re looking for a new or improved logo for the AURS trail stickers. I don’t want to thwart any creativity so I’m not going to give you restrictions, but here are a few suggestions.

Keep our directive in mind …The AURS is committed to the ongoing representation and education of backcountry users and stakeholders on respectful and responsible use, stewardship, maintenance and preservation of designated outdoor recreation areas throughout Alberta.
Protecting the environment FOR Albertans, not from Albertans.

Keep our audience in mind…all users of the backcountry.

We’re all here to have fun!!! Let's see what we can come up with for a logo...

What we have now....

It changes slightly every year depending on who makes them... I am not 100% sure if this mountain pic is identical to the 2003 decals but close enough... you can at least get the idea of what we have now.

Now lets see what you can do!

I changed the tagline because I always thought our logo should say more about what we are trying to do.

Hey, I like the ideas guys!!

I was curious Drever... could you try AURS in green.. the circle orange and the square green?? I love the bright color (and I'm game with the orange and green how about the rest of you... what do you think?) How about something a little less choppy/busy as yours but not as plain as Tim's??

Then again I'm not good at this stuff but willing to see more ideas for sure!!

Almost looks like the survivor logo. With the colors that is.

Couldn't help noticing that those colours are the old Alberta Mountain Cat club colours. ( Green Orange )

I really like the enlarged AURS part and the rephrase. The large AURS makes a great logo to scale for hats/front of shirt breast logos/lapel pins etc. I want to get flags made, like the Canadian flags etc. that bounce around the trails on 6 ft. tailgate poles.

Keep 'em coming, this is a great start. How about a new version of the middle picture, any ideas there?

Being an AURS member I would
like to put some time in to this.
I could dig right in to some thing like this.
What a great reason to spend time working
on graphics.

For the real thing how does the April 15th AURS GM sound? In the meantime a prototype for next week's director's meeting would be swell

Maybe it's just me but the old white and green again? I do think we should stick with the green but how about a little more color?? Even the way Tim has it but the background maybe another shade of green or just some extra color somewhere??? Mind you think to yourself what would you like to wear if the AURS had a line of clothes and stuff??

I like Drevers add on of the website addy and maybe even the hotline number would be nice 233-AURS

Personally, I would love to see a new logo with some Greenie getting squished by a full sized truck with 44 boggers. I know I know, it is really not the image that we want to portray, but I am sure most of us think along those lines at some point. I mean, really, some self important goof ball who never leaves his strata fee condo, except to go buy tofu, and he is trying to shut down the trails to do what? Save the Yellow Tailed Bear Tick or something? Come on.

Anyhow, on a constructive note, I love the new tag line. I also would not change to logo to radically, as you still want people to recognize a symbol that they are familiar with.

Throw the 'Equal and Managed' message on the original and call it a wrap

Most people identify the logo from a distance by shape and color only...change it too much and you lose recognition.
