What are the benefits of crossover steering? I know it seems like a stupid question to some but I really have no Idea what the benefits are other than the flex factor.

The longer distance from the pitman to the steering arm decreases the drag link angle. This reduces bump steer.

Going crossover in a Toyota allows you to do away with the torque rod and the factory drag link which are the 2 major things that limit articulation in a stock toy front suspension. So like you said, flex, using crossover also allows you to move the axle forward easily so your tires dont stuff into the back corner of the front fender.

Yeah you can, but under hard braking, you get brake steer, same idea as bump steer except with the back and forth motion of the pitman (rather than the side to side of the crossover set-up) and the axle wrap under hard braking they like to swerve right...especially with soft front springs.

yup, i chopped mine out and when i break my truck is all over the place..its kinda fun tho..its like weeeeeeeeeeeee my truck is fawked ...but i have crossover now, so you dont have to watch out when i drive near you anymore

But, man do people move out of your way.. You slam them brakes once for some little $hit in a civic, and he will never cut you off again.. Your also looking at him through his sun roof though, but hey..
