Okay my side gears / spider gears are gone in the front but I think that for about the same price I am going to put in a powertrax locker in the front Dana44 I currently running until I get my Dana 60 in.

What I am curious about is there anyone that has personally run the powertrax in the front axle before and did you like or dislike it? I have heard too many well I knew a guy stories but never anyone that has one themselves???

Do you have hubs? It might not feel that good up front without hubs. it will always bang and ratchet, plus you will have a hard time turning. but if it is the same price as spiders and side gears, just do it and forget about the bad things. I run (took out yesterday as i have a full case on the way) a detroit e-z locker in the back, and it likes to let go and bang allot, I think these lockers are close to the same design? I Like it though, the added traction is amazing, but in the front I would be a little more concerned with streetability. Whatever you shoose good luck.

I have a factory CAD (Central Axle Disconnect) right now and I think that with is working properly that I will not have the streetable issues with it. I really don't want to spend any money on this Dana 44 but I can't put my Dana 60 in for a while yet 34,000 more K and I would be pushing putting the locker in...but It is a really easy locker to put in and I could do it and replace all my axle seals at the same time and breaks in an afternoon...
