is it possible to take a ford high pinion dana 44 and cut down the longside, use a waggi shaft. and i want to put this under the front of my toy.

Well ya i suppose you could do that but keep in mind that the bolt pattern is 5 on 5.5, i cut a 77 F150 HP D44 down 6" to accept a Ford EB long side shaft (aftermarket only due to u-joint size) cutting 6" makes the diff about 59" wms to wms. here are a few pics and some info. please keep in mind that the bronco diff's are different but just as easy to cut http://www.minnis.ca/gallery/album04 and for more HP D44 info please check out http://77cj.littlekeylime.com/web_rs44.html
