alright for all you jeep monsters out there... with no original markings books or anything along that line... how in hell do i figure out what gears i have?
stock 87 cherokee dana 30/35 combo towing package I6 4L
anyone wanna give it a shot ?

If its a stick then its 3.07.
If its an auto then 3.55s
I have a set of 3.73s that will fit if you are looking to go lower.

Jeff... are you certain yer rear is a dana 35 .....I believe it was the 87 wagoneer with the factory tow package came with the d-44 rear with trac-loc... I know in 87 one trim config. I cant remember the name of it came with the d-44 rear with the factory tow .

mikey, i heard those were pretty rare artifacts to find a 87 with a stock 44, but i know its not the trac lock(limited slip) i've drivin it enough to figure that one out!

yea theyare rare only one Trim package came out with it ...pioneer... wagoneer ...I cant remember ....but it had to have the factory tow package .....I looked at one with the d-44 rear when i was buying ....was 5 speed ....(peugot= deal breaker)
