i was looking at early 80's toyota 4x4 pickups for my new ride - can anybody tell me what gas mileage to expect with these? 22r engine (i guess? don't know too much about toyotas) and it would have either 31 or 33" tires.

I'm not 100% on the actual mileage. But I can drive to Waiparous, wheel for two days and make it back on a single $35 tank. I'm running 36" TSLs and 5.29 gear.

When my truck had a 22R with 31 mud terrains I was still getting about 25 MPG. Which when you think about it rocked for a 4x4 truck. Don't know what it gets now with EFI and 33's.
