anyone know what i should set the timing at for an amc 360
I think it came out of a 1980 FSJ

I love not knowing what year and model this stuff is

8* at 600rpm in drive for a 1980
If the tag is still on the ps valve cover I can look up the year for you.

thanks, i did see a tag, think i painted over it, i'll check the #
um um do i have to put the rear on stands and have it in
drive to check timin?? (dam i am mechanicaly challenged )

Block the wheels and put your E brake on...that should do. But if you run yourself over I'm not responsible
I usually set my idle so it reads correctly in drive, then I put it in park to set the timing...hope that made sence....
