I just did a upgrade to my jeep ignition to a 1984 f350 460 TFI
I used the cap, rotor, wires, duraspark module and coil (the square type) My question is do I need a resitor wire? It's running on a full 12 volts now, will I burn out the coil module or have any ill effects. Is it designed for 12 volts?

I've been running this ignition setup for over a year with no resistor wire without a problem....first on a 75 401 and now on a 75 360. Just gapped the plugs to 45 and advanced the timing to 12*...works great.
