ok, here's the deal....I bought an 81 CJ7 with a 350 already in it, but the guy left the stock sr4/t4 transmission in it. It finally gave under the added power and I have decided to replace it with the popular Muncie SM465 transmission, at great expense due to the high cost of adapting it to my 300 t-case(but looks like it will be good, thanks to Novak, and Savage for the idea)
My question it, what else do I have to swap out? The Clutch/pressureplate seems to be an inch and a half smaller than what would usually go into a chevy truck of the same configuration. Do I need a different flywheel so I can get the bigger clutch in there? then a different starter? Any help on the subject would be appreciated as potential problems are piling up, and money is running out!

What tires are you going to try to run with?
If you use the bigger tires for mud hogging then I would use
the bigger clutch.
If you are just staying on the street and maybe snow then you mite get by with the smaller one.
I not up on the newer trans for chevy.
Most of mine are 70's.
With them there's not much worrys with the starter.

I just have 32's right now, but with the added power of the Chev small block on the stock tranny, it sort of blew stuff apart..I didn't want to worry about that with the new tranny and clutch setup, so I'm just going to go with the bigger set up, I'm not as hard on the Jeep as some of people, but if I want to get dirty, I don't want to worry about things coming apart.
