Yo guys. 4funner here. I'm new on the BB. Just got an 88 4runner with the v-6. I'm collecting parts for the sas job. I have a question... I want to run 35 or 36 inch tires. I have been told to get Suburban springs for the rear. For the front... Rancho 44044's were recommended. They are old Jeep Truck Springs I think. I have also heard of folks using YJ springs. Do those guys use lifted yj springs or stock ones... and how much lift does that provide?
Thanks 4funner - 88 4runner, V-6, bone stock for now.
2.5 or 4" lifted YJ rear springs in front will provide approx. 1" more when used in the front of a Toyota. 44044 are Rancho part # and are Jeep Wagoneer lift springs they will give you about 5 to 5.5" of lift. I've got the 4" YJ's to try in mine but if I don't like those I will probably put my stock rears in front with a leaf or 2 added.
