It's me again. Thanks for the advice on the front springs... on to the rear. I want to use 63 inch Chevy springs. I think I'm going with Suburban springs. Does any one know which model year, if you get lifted or stock springs, and if I should use 3/4 or 1/2 ton? I'm trying to match the 5 or so inches of lift the front will be wearing.

Thanks

This advice only pertains to doing the straight sping swap and has nothing to do with the lift, your on you own with that one.
What you need are springs from a 1988-1998 1/2 ton chevy or GMC. Doesn't matter if they are from 2wd or 4wd. The 2wd have 3 leaves plus an overload leaf. The 4wd have 4 leaves plus an overload.
If you install these spings mentioned above, you will acheive aprox. 2-3" of lift.
Good Luck,
Tye
