Done an Alternator relocation on a 4 litre w/ AC .... went fer a small run on the weekend and it got full o mud ...must cure that problem

we had that problem with the girlfriends jeep too. spent all the time of takign it out and cleaning it up to try and get it warrantied, and when they tested it it was fine. suggestion try washin it out and get it tested..

ya just take it out and wash it really good with a garden hose...worx for me.

I just hit mine with the pressure washer at the car wash. But you are right its a pain the the a$$ when you are trying to winch out of a mud hole and the alt has quit working. I'm planning on building a splash guard for mine. Not sure how much it will help though.

Hey thats a hell of an idea, especially since I will be upgrading mine to a 130amp Mustang alternator in both the truck (for the stereo) and the bronco (for the winch and lights).
