The oil pump creates FLOW restrictions to FLOW(oil being forced thru a small orfice, ie bearings) creates PRESSURE.
I would start with the oil pump and if you are up to it and you have the pan off anyway you could plasti-guage a few main caps and con-rods to see what their condition is.
