sounds like a warped rotor, did you get your tires changed at a shop? i know you usaully have to stand there and watch them and make sure they don't put the 3/4" impact on the lugs. its a little harder to warp the dodge rotors but the little ford cars and most chevys will warp if the lugs are over torqued..

dirtydodge is right the rotor is warped . the noise is comming from the pads . when you take the tire off first check if the pads are worn ( squealers are touching ) ,if not remove the pads and slightly grind a champher on the pad . this will remove the sharp edge on the pad that is causing the noise . the pad with a sharp edge will act like a tuning fork and cause a noise . when reinstalling the pads use a product called disc brake quiet it looks like sticky red spray paint ( it brakes the viberation between the pad and the caliper ) that makes the noise . when you press the brakes the free play thats between the pads and the rotor is gone . the pad can no longer viberate so the noise goes away .

Check the axleshaft u-joints while you are at it, they can make a squeaking noise as well And since you are in there grab the tire at the 12 and 6 o'clock position and give it a pull/push. See how the bearings and ball joints are.

Yup check u joints too, the roommates 96 squeaked for a while then crunched, then progressed to a clicking and is now at a kind of banging noise. Guess I should fix it for him sooner or later huh?

I think it is more likely to be the hub assy or the joint. The axles are always turning so your always wearing the joints.
