Whatever!!! D60s DIDNT come with coils!

Pretty much any Ford D60 should bolt into your 79 Bronco.

1) Yes i have a D60..

2) No, it wasnt a coil sprung 60. It had to be custom fab'd to get it in on coils.

3) Ford D60's are not a bolt in for Broncos. You need to fab mounts and stuff to em to get em in. 78/79 broncos have solid axle 44's, but come with coils... So you need to fab the spring mounts AND radius arm mounts to the axle.

_You can cut the wedges off an old EB d44, radious them to fit the d60 tubes (gotta take yer time gittin the angles right tho), or you can buy them from J/D. Then it's a bolt in job using the stock spring perches and radious arms, (wristed of course). Then the steering is another story, just a steering arm change, and a new drag link.

if you are doing a front swap, u can use a d60 from 77-79 f-350's with the snowfighter package, 1980-1997 f350's but the 87-97 d60's are a little more complicated because the pumpkin is alot closer to the drivers side knuckle than the pumpkins on the 77-79 and 80-86 d60's, this makes it alot harder to adapt the c's from the original radius arm system on the bronco's because it has to be cut to fit around the end of the pumpkin instead of the axle tube.

and for rearend swaps u can use any d60 ford, chevy or what ever, but u have to cut the leaf spring perches off and relocate them, unless u find a 77-79 ford dana 60, it will bolt up because its the same frame width as a 78-79 bronco, any ford d60 before 1977 will have to have the perches cut because the frames are not as wide, i hope this info helps u with your swaps

i have a 79 bronco, swapped d60 rearend, 8-lug d44, 4.56's, locker, gleason torsen, 400hp 400m, superlift 6", 36" superswampers, c6 auto(soon to be a N.P. 435, 4spd)
