I don't know about specifics for a newer Ram, but general body lift issues are lower rad hose/ fan shroud (moved/ modified), fuel filler hose (lengthened), stick shifters (lengthened), steering shaft (lengthened). The mount bolts under the cab should be cage bolts, no pulling seats or carpet. I know '96 is pretty new, so you might not have a problem, but spray/soak the mount bolts with wd-40 or other spray penetrating oil for 3-4 days before you try to do the job. It'll make life way easier. Cause if you do have cage bolts under the cab and one is rusted and you break the weld.... you're fawked. NOW you have to pull the seats, carpent, cut a section of floor out to fix it..... but I'm sure you'll have your hands full with other problems.
