hey guys, i need a little help here. i keep getting water in my distributor cap and its starting to piss me off. all the time now, on and off road. hate it because when i punch it, nothing happens, kinda sucks going up a muddy hill (happened yesterday at mclean)
how am i supposed to water proof this thing so its always dry. Hellraiser on this board before said something about a boot cover off a 5 litre mustang. any ideas. oh, and i got a 300I6, which is why i have problems, darn thing sits just above my oil pan!

thanks,

JOhn

a cheap way of doing it would be to use a peice of a tire tube and zip tie it around the base of the distributer and use a round wire holder at the other other end and zip tie the tube around it i did this to the boss jeep two seasons ago and he hasn't had water in his cap at all sence then and i have seen the distributer under water you can get a old tube form a tire shop most likely for free and make a wire holder out of a round peice of wood just cut in holes for the wires in the edges and silicone them in there maybe cost you all of $2 for zip ties and silicone it doesn't look great but it works
