If you are running the stock engine, then the toy axles are plenty strong.

If you're planning on running 39.5's, then you better be looking at upgrading both your Birfs and your inner axles.

Lotsa places make upgrades for both.

Smurfields (BC)
ProFields (Allpro)
Longfields (Originator of the aftermarket super tough birf)

For axles:
Allpro has some nice 4140, and 4340
PIG on the pirate board has 4140, 4340, and 300M

Lotsa options if you want to seriously beef it up.

Upgraded birfs might be enough for you, depends on wheeling style, lockers, etc, etc..

I have the longs already and my 4340 pigs are on the way.
I'll be getting two lockers at the end of the Month.
Would 5.29 gears be enough or should I use a double T-case.

DOUBLE T-Case DOUBLE T- Case hehe. I'm sure you'd never regret that decision.

go for the crawler box. Out of all the mods I've done on all the trucks I've owned, the Marlin Crawler was the best! I heard north shore offroad had them for $591 CDN
