YOU WERE RIGHT!!!!!

It's a wiring HELL!! I got a call this morning asking if I still have the orignal parts, Hmmm Looks like I'm gonna take a step back from The whole Computerized Fuel Injected world, Perhaps for the better!
He said there are wires going from everywhere to everywhere!

I've got a complete (almost) wiring harness from the 2wd donor vehicle. No fuel injection shit, but it'lll work hot damn with a carb.

Hmmmmm.... What should I charge you to put it in???

Choda,

Dude if you can fit a Caddy 500 into your toy. DAMN. YOU the man!! You'll have to put lots of weight into your box though to keep your rear tires on the ground. LOL

One thing I've learned, Nikki, EFI aint always what its cracked up to be on the trail. Go the carb way and learn the K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid) theory.

I Agree EFI is the way to go. It all depends on what you want also. if you are going to dump big $$$ into the motor then EFI is geat. Lots of power, Great starts, no sputtering when bouncing. But if you are going to just drop one in and arent looking to do to much to it Carb is alright. but trust me you will want EFI after you are have way up the hill from hell and SHE stalls on you. Just my 2 cents.

I dunno, but my webber makes it up every hill I've ever tried. And if I can't make it up the hill it ain't because of the carb. And the engine runs great. So there!!! And if it breaks I've got six others in a box in the geerage.

AND there's no computer to F$&%-UP!!! If yours gets wet you're hooped!

There are draw backs with both systems but i would have to say go with fuel injection if it is the stock setup for that truck If you keep it maintained good nothing will beat it On the other hand if your doing an engine swap and its injected you better know what your doing with elctronic really good or just go with a carb because it is alot simpler. I'm converting to injection this winter on my 79 but thats me.

Yeah. What jedi says. If you've got the patience, and cash for the EFI swap go ahead. But be prepared for lots of bugs. I've yet to see a EFI swap go as smoothly as a carb swap. I'd have EFI if it was stock and I'd got with it. But to mate an EFI system into a non-EFI truck is a real PITA.

IMO
