Sounds cool but how did ya do it?? Someone sell an adapter for that? Is it a frontwards motor out of a Fox or sumthing? Or did you use plastic sticks and glue? LOL! Fawk...there was a lil' Sami pickup sold here right after I bought my yota...had 4800 km's on it. Some ol' dude bought it new years ago and never used it...was parked in a garage all that time. Sold for $4000. Cool to hear about sumthing different for a change.

There are adapter kit's out there now....I made my own adapter. The engine is a 1.6 turbo out of a Jetta. I used a Flywheel off of a Fox And machined it to fit inside the Sammy tranny bellhousing...There were a few bugs but I slowly got rid of them..I used every day for over a year now...It werks great.I took it of the road so i can Do a little "tuning" to the whole truck over the winter but it'll be ready for the road in the spring. A Sammy pickup would be cool to do up.

Hey....Don't mind Dwella... It's ....ummm..Saturday nite! He gets really funny on Saturdays...got sumthin to do with wantin to live in a graveyard and a seement chikkin.
So the flywheel....will it fit on Teds weedwhacker? Just kiddin....really....did the machining have any effect on the ring gear or could you still use it as is? The adapter....is it just a flat plate used to match the Sami bellhousing to the VW motor?

The 302 swap is easy. the zook frames are the same width as the EB's. just use the motor mounts from the EB and you're set. Mine took all of 3 hours . Just hafta get the wiring done and some cosmetics and it'll be ready to fire.
