Ha...you may have helped me out here...was just gonna ask what you all thought of Edelbrock shocks or Rancho 9000. What size are the holes in the eyes? Is $50ish the sale price or regular? Thanks!

Damn, damn, damn you guys!!! All this talk about long shocks and chit. Now I'm tryin my best not to pull the trigger on my credit card for a set of Bilstein 5150's http://www.bilstein.com/offroad.php#5150 Read lots of good things aout them. What I'd really like is the 7100 series. They are rebuildable and can be tuned. If fact...them 7100's would make a great B-day gift for Chick

Hey Rusty, a good friend of mine in Langley is a Fox dealer...their regular 2" shock is not to badly priced...usually Fox is a lot less than Bilstiens. Their new air shocks are pretty wicked..that way you can run a 4 link without springs... I have sold a few sets of the Edelbrock IAS shocks..the red ones...to people with stock style trucks. They seem to like them. You may also want to think about Skyjacker Platinum series. They have a 7/8" shaft, compared to 5/8" like Rancho, Superlift etc as well as a built in urethane bumpstop. They are not adjustable though. I sold some to a few racers out east and they were happy with them. If I recall correctly, they were around the same price as a RS9000..I may be wrong, though. http://skyjacker.com/products-02platinum_shocks.asp

Hey...Thanks guys but I ordered a couple of Bilstein 5125's for the front a few minutes ago. Didn't like what I read about the 5150's. Seems they have some problems with the top eye snapping off. The Fox shocks are air..hear they aren't too good for a DD. Seems when they get hot they "grow". You have to have a limiting strap to maintain your ride hight. Good shocks for a race setup though. Vic's gurls will just have to wait for their newest Hummer.

The 5125's are a good choice. Where did you get them?
Not all Fox's are air...the air ones are for rock crawling. You are right though, not sure if I would want them on a daily driver. Probably a little overkill.

Wes...what...are you working gravy shift or something I got the shocks from HoyBoyz. Seems like an alright guy to deal with. His "store" hours are great...phone him at 9:30 at night etc. Service is pretty fast for stuff out of the US. Hy-steer is supposed to be here today Kinda want to spread the cash around a bit so the next crap I buy'll prolly be from RMOR.

Nah, that was 6:15 am my time...I am up around 5:30 and don't leave the house until 7 or so....
I have heard good things about Hoyboyz, but have never met or dealt with them. RMOR is a good bunch of guys..I used to work with Eric at Modern...
If you ever deal with National, make a point of talking to Rich. He worked as a tech for a long time at Modern and has worked his way to the front counter...he knows his stuff. Plus he is one of my best friends...tell him I sent ya!
