ya so my 97 hi press pump leaks, .. gotta git it out....I'm knee deep, got everything outta the way, (fuel bowl,...gone, intake tubes, outta there, all braided, steel and rubber lines and associated electrical hardawre dissconnected.
___YET!!! even with the only 2 bolts i could find to remove the hi pressure oil pump out of the situation, ....I can only move the pump an 1/8th inch er so out, it rotates fine and I have fiddled with it fer ever.....is there a trik to gittin this fukker out er what????

Ted did you remove the frt little plate and remove the bolt for the gear? When that little bad boy comes out the gear stays behind. 95lbs when you install the gear bolt 16 to 22 for the pump.

thanks colin, didn't know that, got to git lookin at it and be damned if'n I didnt hafta drain some coolant (cuz the coolant fitting was in da way). Which in turn pissed me off and made me look a little harder, it turned out to be the O-ring on the lil bolt on the rear starboard side of the pump, (crooks, $40 fer a kit). I changed that and it seems to have 'er, again thanx.
...
....this is the truk that just wont die, over 608,000km's on it, quite a few of them not friendly, and very little problems with it.

justa 3/4ton reg cab pickup, my office so to speak, all weather, all gravel or dirt, all day, pavement is for crossing.
