Has anyone ever ran into the rad coming apart from the bracket at the top? Can this be re-welded or fastened somehow? The rad itself is still in decent shape, so I am hoping to salvage it.
Thanks,
Tye

Yeah I've got a couple in the garage with that same problem. I think that you are supposed to braze the peices together. Kinda like soldering... Welding would make really big holes...

Thanks Sushi,
Have you ever had any repaired? Who could do this procedure? Could I do it with a propane torch? Just wondering if I should just be looking for a new rad or not.
Later,
Tye

Something I have heard from many a Toyota owner,

"Why fix it, I'll just buy another one and replace it. Toyotas are dime a dozen!"

Brad at Allseasons Radiators would be my top choice to get it looked at if you cant do it yourself.

In my opinion go and get a custon 3-core. Way better at cooling than the old crud-filled one you probably have. I got mine from Toyota Ryan. Can't remember how much, but it was a pretty good deal I think.

Where I'm at now is that I have never had a problem over heating (with no shroud). So I don't really want to replace something if the current one is woking. But ya never Know!
Thanks though!
