Is there such a thing as 3:45 ish gears you can get for my 80 Yota? The new 4.3 will be able to pull a way bigger gear(the old one could too but I've beat it to death). Need to slow the motor down from 3400 rpm @60mph.
Can't afford to drive very far as is.
What you got?
Thanks!

Nope.. I gotta slow down the driveshaft speed. I got some pretty steep angles and the low ratio really cranks shit up at highway speed. Keeps knockin the T cases apart too. Good setup for wheelin but not for the highway. I need this thing back on the road. My 454 dually is killin me.

I been around... sorry!
I don't know of anyything in the 3.5 range for the yota diffs... they used a 3.90 and 4.10, but I am trying to find out if there are any higher ratios...
and usually if you need to get hold of me try me at the shop...

p.s. Ted I have some info for you about the fan we were discussing... will call you in the next day or so.

Rusty, I found the gear sets, but need to know the year and engine your truck had in it... Yotas are kinda weird that way, they use different bearings for different engine applications. (rear diff) They may not fit certain applications without specialty bearings...

Ted, ya shoulda swung by, have two of them sitting there you could looked at. One of them we have just installed a similar model in a hopped up 350'd TJ... seems to be keeping it cool so far (during engine break in on the 33* day last week, never broke 205...wanted to make sure the smaller one would keep your Yota cool...)
