First and foremost; The Can Rock Series is an association of Canadian events. We would like to incorporate a good mix of speed and technical crawling for the competitors. If the competitors are happy the fans will be happy and that will make the sponsors happy.

The specifications for the vehicles will be based upon the popular WE Rock specs as they seem to be the norm for most of the competitions for North America, but they will allow some room for the people that are not building WE Rock Specific vehicles. Our main focus is to have the safety of the competitors first, so all safety aspects of the low speed races will be in effect.
The competitions will be consisted of 3 main classes for the time being and until we get more competitive vehicles in Canada.
Stock:
Basically for the “Modified Stock” class

Trail Class: The Basic Pro Modified Class Specifications up to and including a 40” tire

Buggy Class: This class will use the Basic Unlimited Specs and will allow all the “buggies” to compete together.

The rules for the events will be a modified WE Rock and Mainland Cup Challenge amalgamation as it allows Canadian specific terrain rules and will be available shortly.

The Dates for the events will be Rumble in the Rocks (tentative date and area in BC to be determined) July 25, 26, 2009.

Apex Mountain BC; August 15, 16, 2009

One more event after August to be announced very soon.

All information is subject to change with input from competitors, spectators and sponsors.

There will be 4 Marshals available for competitors for tech and specification questions. Any questions will be answered as soon as possible, and as always, all suggestions are needed and appreciated to make this series work for the people involved. As always volunteers are appreciated for the events.

Thanks,
Serge

how the hell di yu end up involved in this frenchy?, sounds fun, .. this gunna be another HRC type b/s or is it the real cool shit of drivin over sea cans and turd culverts? yu bin around here long time now son,...y'all gots ta realize this was/is a boggin site,...granted most of us outgrown mud and git to likin the crawlin type scene, yet goin by the drivel of most of the crawlin sites bashin the Bogger tread, we really give a fuk about usin our "stickies" in "comps" which mostly seem to be made of concrete cylindrical shapes, compounded with steel seacans.
_Let us know when someones gunna spill the beans on some of this crap in Alberta, seems boucin offa rocks and having to have the most unbelievably strong susp components is whats required for this type of shit, werock looks expensive, it's cheaper to build a Formula Off Road racer than it is a werok type shitbox wich is pretty much useless in most of our province.
_Whats the prize money?,.......not the usual lame assed "Prizes", gimmie a break on that one, ..got enuff tires/tow straps/gearsets.
Keep us informed, all for a new style of shit to try out, but due to lack of organization and overhyping other events in the past, it's hard to get worked up, yet positive for something now.

The three locations are Apex Mountain, the Rumble on the Rocks, and the Mainland Cup north of Mission BC. From what I seen these three events are already being put on annually.

More like Tough Trucks Challenge up in the Alberta Safari park which is all freakin mud crap. Mainland Cup, I already seen the Fuct trail it more so incorporates.... guaranteed body damage.
