My build is just about finished now. I'm in year 4 of a 2-year project.

What's the best strategy for being about to see thru the windshield in a mud bog? I'll be using flat Lexan (or similar) in an aluminum frame modeled after the stock CJ-7.

I got an electric wiper kit made for a boat, but I'm having second thoughts. Too wimpy?

A buddy suggested cutting 2 round holes in the line of sight, but not directly in front of your face. You could bobble your head around to peep through them.

Any ideas?

Hi Terry...
The best way to keep mud off your windshield...is to buy my blown alky motor...stick it in your Jeep...and outrun the damn mud.
But...you prolly wont so...yup, the holes are a good idea. Most guys run a slot or rectangular hole in front of their face.
Wipers work great for dirty water...but they sukk for mud.
