Hey man i had a serious floor problem in my xj! It couldn't find anything easy for it at all
this was the driver side... after i cleaned it all up

after a good week of welding.. smashing and bending of a 3footx8foot piece of galvanized sheet metal (16gauge) the floor was in

Its not that hard just time consuming. First time i helped do it we think it turned out pretty good.

Might help

I used 1/8 inch plate for the floors of my '82 toy. I found that the body mounts under the floor were shot as well. With the 1/8 plate I shaped it right over the mounts and part way up the slope of the firewall. Once it was all in place I put the cab back on and drilled me a new hole for the body mount. Works great, and is definately stonger than the body mount was before.
